ELECTRICITY

ELECTRICITY

Lyrics by Roger Coghill. Music: Men of Harlech.

I am Gareth Dai Llewellyn

I bring power to every dwelling

Feeding Russell Hobbs and Belling,

Electricity

I spread heat across the nation

From my nuclear power station

Cancer’s all imagination

Electricity

National Grid and Transco

See just how the winds blow

CO2 smoke up the flue

Insanitary planetary bingo

We contribute to global warming

Kill the kids and cause the storming

In the sky our doom is forming

From ‘lectricity

I don’t like it, I just hate it

When the scientists debate it,

So I just spindoctorate it

Electricity.

Nobody  can do without it,

So we lift the price, don’t doubt it

And you can’t do a thing about it

Electricity.
